A PHOTOGRAPHIC JOURNEY

As a starter, he can say that he had done well enough this year for traveling and photography. He only traveled 2 major places for this year (Surgical - Medical Mission in Mulanay, Quezon Province which he haven't documented yet) and (Travel Journal in Donsol, Sorsogon). That's enough for him because he still having some baby steps for travelling. He also started exploring some undiscovered places around the place of Taytay, Rizal.

For photography, with patient online tutorial reading and help of his friends, Biboy finally ventured out himself from the Auto mode of his semi-DSLR camera. He also learned some skills specifically long exposure photography.

Landscape Photography

Landscape Photography is one of the most creative forms of photography. When the photographer’s creative skills pair up with a good camera, a great landscape photo is born. Landscape isn’t just point the camera in any direction on a sunny. It takes a lot of creative thinking and photographic techniques to shoot an amazing landscape photo. Like any other form of photography, a lot of practice is required to master the art of landscape photography.

There’s something about getting out in nature with the challenge of capturing some of the amazing beauty that you see. Perhaps it fits some photographer's personality type. They loved the quietness and stillness of waiting for the perfect moment for the shot and scoping out an area for the best vantage point

Panning Effect Photography

Panning is the horizontal movement of a camera as it scans a moving subject. Panning is a very rewarding technique that can be used in a great variety of situations to produce a unique and outstanding picture.

Proper panning implies motion. However, panning creates the feeling of motion and speed without blurring the subject as a slow shutter speed sans panning would tend to do.  Take for example the  image above. The first is an example of panning.  Notice how the car is clear and crisp but the rest of the image is blurred to show the motion of the vehicle.  This effect was achieved by panning.

Panning is also a technique that can produce amazing results but is also one that can take a lot of practice to get right.

The basic idea behind panning as a technique is that you pan your camera along in time with the moving subject and end up getting a relatively sharp subject but a blurred background.

This gives the shot a feeling of movement and speed. It’s particularly useful in capturing any fast moving subject whether it be a racing car, running pet, cyclist etc.

I’ve found that panning seems to work best with moving subjects that are on a relatively straight trajectory which allows you to predict where they’ll be moving to. Objects that are moving side to side are challenging and can result in messy looking shots as the motion blur can be quite erratic.

Infrared Photography

These are IR pictures in false colors. These infrared photography feeds you with daily dose of infrared photo inspiration and awesome shots taken with infrared cameras.

-----------Infrared photography has given us the ability to record what the eye cannot see. As humans our eyes are sensitive to a limited band of wavelengths, between 400nanometres (the blue spectrum) and 700 nanometres (the red spectrum) known as visible light.

The infrared filter covering your lens is trying to block out all visible light and the internal hot mirror filter is effectively blocking out all near infrared light the amount of actual light hitting the cameras sensor is minimal. Consequently, shutter speeds times will be painfully slow. Even on a bright sunny day, working with a relatively sensitive camera, such as the Nikon D50, your shutter speeds are still going to be in the region 2 or 3 seconds at f8, with some cameras, considerably more! Obviously some kind of support is going to be needed whatever camera you use.

Some photographers might see this as a problem, others not. However, I have to mention it, this isn’t your only problem! Composition of your subject has to be made without the infrared filter in place, for the simple reason, the filter is opaque; you can't see though it.

----------If you only ever use your camera for taking infrared images you may want to consider having the hot mirror filter completely removed and an infrared filter put in its place. The benefit of this procedure is easy to see; Normal shutter speeds, no messing around with filters, use any lens you wish, no tripod to carry around and no focusing issues to deal with.

The Hidden Art of Digital Photography

Computers and mobile phones, mobility and microchips – these are the characteristics of the modern world. We live in a changing world through technology. The arts have always changed with technology. Remember: from charcoal drawings to painting to photography to digital photography, we have come a long way in the visual arts. We used different methods of collecting quality of life and freezing time. New technologies are constantly being developed to make fun of art easier and much more. However, you should know that the art of digital photography is not as easy as point and shoot.

The art of digital photography requires skill to pull correctly. Although some people reason that digital photography art can always be changed, many people do not really know how to edit the work. Of course, we can say that technology has a plan in which a person has to do almost anything to achieve a large photo met, but of course you need to know how to use the right tools to do so.
The art of digital photography you really need to master three Ts: time, talent and tactical placement of equipment. No, this is not correct. They need time, talent and treasure. Exactly what that means?

1) The time – there can be an instant expert in digital photography. You should take the time to learn everything. Even if you have any pupil who has the talent of a genius at what you really need training to develop that talent. Note that for all its power, a steamroller can not be used to make the work of a hammer. There is wisdom in the use of energy properly.
may be the moment in the art of photography is something like a train of digital sharpening knives with a stone or forging a fine katana (the Japanese samurai sword) by heating and bending a thousand times, can be painful but it is necessary to provide the best products.
2) Talent – of course you need some natural talent for art really big on digital photography. You have a good eye for subjects that make a great photo. Otherwise, become a field that requires a moderate size.
Of course, good training really enhance your natural talent and help develop their skills in the art of digital photography.
3) Treasury – as I said before, you need the right tools to succeed in the technology of digital photography. This means that we need to invest much money. While there are plenty of art supplies digital photography that can be purchased at reasonable prices, the best team needs serious pocket digging. This, of course, tests your courage because there’s nothing scarier than a man if he pulls her portfolio on behalf of the interests is not checked.

Also Adobe Photoshop can be used for this purpose, though sometimes images may look unnatural and unprofessional.

5. Infrared Photography

A showcase of near-infrared photography. Near-infrared images straight out of the camera do not always look good and are usually not as dramatic and beautiful as normally captured images. Hence, a lot of post-processing is done to enhance these images.

Tree in a Mist

What a great image, so creative and so inspiring. There’s something about trees that gets to me. I’m not sure exactly what it is but something about their shape, majesty, intricacy and symbolism draws me and caught my attention. Simple composition, perfect amount of space around the main element, beautiful sepia colour, great shape of the main tree, the mist adds a sense of stillness, the distant hill looks like it's floating in mid air, and the image has a quality of spiritual calm and rarity. Not only that, but with careful shooting techniques used on one of the best digital cameras yet made.
